Overview
The Tech-Air® 5 is a fully autonomous electronic airbag vest developed by Alpinestars, primarily designed for road use. It provides top-level upper body protection without any connection to the motorcycle. The system operates using integrated accelerometers and gyroscopes – no GPS required – and is controlled by advanced software for maximum accuracy and response speed.

In the event of a crash, the airbag inflates within 20–40 milliseconds (depending on vest size), stabilizing the collarbones, shoulders, chest, ribs, and back. The vest can be worn under any motorcycle jacket with flexible panels or at least 4 cm of chest space, ensuring proper airbag deployment.
