Overview:
The latest addition to the Tech-Air® lineup is the autonomous Alpinestars Tech-Air® 3 airbag vest, designed primarily for daily commuting and urban riding. Thanks to its versatile and compact design, however, it can also be used comfortably for all-day rides and longer trips.
The vest can be worn as an outer layer or underneath a jacket, and it is compatible with any motorcycle jacket – it does not need to be Tech-Air® Ready or Compatible. With its low weight and foldable construction, it can be easily stored in a backpack or under the motorcycle seat. The Tech-Air® 3 is water-resistant and ready for use in any weather conditions.
Unlike the Tech-Air® 5 system, which has a unisex design, the Tech-Air® 3 is available in both men's and women's versions, with the women's model ergonomically shaped to fit the female body.

Intelligent Impact Detection:
The Tech-Air® 3 airbag system is equipped with an advanced crash detection algorithm based on the analysis of millions of riding kilometers and thousands of crashes. In the event of a potential collision, the system activates and the airbag inflates in just 50 milliseconds – in many cases even before the actual impact.
The system has been independently tested by Dolomiticert across speeds of 25–63 km/h, covering real-world urban riding as well as suburban conditions.
