Overview:
The newest addition to the Tech-Air® family is the Alpinestars
Tech-Air® 3 airbag vest, designed specifically for daily commuting and
urban use. However, thanks to its versatile and compact design, it's also
ideal for longer trips and all-day riding.
The Tech-Air® 3 can be worn as an outer layer or underneath
a jacket. It is compatible with any motorcycle jacket, regardless of
whether it's labeled Tech-Air® Ready or Tech-Air® Compatible. With its
lightweight construction and foldable design, the Tech-Air® 3 system is easy to
pack into a backpack or store under your seat. The vest is water-resistant
and built for all-weather riding.
Unlike the unisex Tech-Air® 5, the Tech-Air® 3 is offered in
both men's and women's versions, with the women's model ergonomically
designed for the female body.
Protection & Safety Features:

airbag system protects the chest, back, ribs, neck, and collarbone
area
- Includes
a dedicated pocket for the Nucleon Flex Pro CE Level 2 back protector,
which is approximately 22% longer than standard protectors for
enhanced coverage and rider comfort
- Water-resistant
materials and electronics ensure reliable performance in wet conditions
- Can
be worn under Tech-Air® labeled jackets or any motorcycle jacket
(leather or textile), as long as it provides enough room for the airbag to
deploy properly
Smart Impact Detection:
The Tech-Air® 3 is equipped with an advanced crash detection
algorithm developed using millions of kilometers of riding data and
thousands of real-world crashes. If the system detects a potential crash,
it inflates the airbag in just 50 milliseconds—often before the
actual impact occurs.
Testing conducted by Dolomiticert confirmed the
system's performance in impact scenarios at speeds ranging from 25 to 63
km/h, simulating typical urban and everyday riding conditions.
